  • • 1 cup shelled almonds or other type of nuts
  • • 1 TBS olive oil
  • • 1/4 tsp Pecan flavored liquid smoke
  • • 1 tsp Maple syrup
  • • 1 TBS of FA Dirty Gringo Spice blend or Cock-A-Voodoo; Use 2 TBS if using The Cure ground fine


  • 1. Preheat oven to 300* F, toaster oven or BBQ smoker
  • 2. Mix oil, liquid smoke and maple syrup together
  • 3. Add almonds; coat well
  • 4. Spice blend
  • 5. Spread nuts on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper
  • 6. Bake in oven for 20-25 minutes or until desired color. Be careful not to burn
  • 7. Let nuts cool for a couple of hours
  • 8. Store in air tight container


  • • If using smoker omit liquid smoke
  • • Use spice grinder to grind spice blend if a finer texture desired especially using The Cure
  • • Substitute: 1 egg white whipped with water to use as binder instead of oil
  • • Mix and match one of each flavors to make a unique mix
